Thank You, Experienced Patriots!

"If ever a time should come, when vain and aspiring men shall possess the highest seats in Government, our country will stand in need of its experienced patriots to prevent its ruin." ~ Samuel Adams

It has been taking a while to process the entirety of the election. It was massive!

To say that hope has been restored is an understatement. We have hope, we have community, we have power, we have determination. The election was the first step. We have achieved a huge feat in putting these strong men and women in office to lead our country out of this quagmire. We must not squander that.

Here are some of my thoughts. They may be jumbly, but that is how I think all of our minds are right now. This election has ripples upon ripples.

We DEI'd it Ourselves
An astounding number of women and people of color won office. I’m not sure all of the factors that led to Kamala defeat in 2024 – there were many – but we know from November 3 that it was not because the country is not ready for a woman or a person of color – or a woman of color – to lead.

And alsoooo! Look how young everyone is!

As we look to the future, we know. The 2028 Democratic Prez candidates will come from a rainbow. I can't wait to see who throws their hat in. It's going to be a wonderful embarrassment of riches and a fun – and hard – time for the next two years. Mostly fun for us political junkies.

There is no way that we are not getting a Democratic president in 2028. Diddly Don will keep toddling his way through and making everyone mad. If he croaks, or even if he doesn't, we may face self-proclaimed JDipshit Vance as a candidate (I think I just threw up in my mouth a little bit).

Did you see this?

The good news keeps coming. Lauren Boebert is on the verge of losing her seat in Colorado's 4th District. It hasn't been officially called yet, but Eileen Laubacher's lead is stretching. In Mississippi, Dem Senate candidate Scott Colum's lead is also gaining ground, but the race hasn't yet been called. In Alaska, because of ranked-choice voting, we won't know if Dem Mary Peltola will hold on to her lead in the Senate race perhaps for weeks. There are still 21 House seats that are still too close to call. The Democrats may have a commanding 260 seats in the House before it's all over!

In other firsts, these gentlemen broke new ground in Alabama and Montana:
Montana hasn't had a Dem House representative in 32 years

As we absorb and process the results, we look to what's next.

OOOOh the possibilities!

So. The Agenda.
What shall we ask our government to do with this newfound power?

Restore the Rule of Law
There must be accountability for the corruption and the crimes that have been flagrantly committed right out in the open.

Accountability means: investigating and indicting the many disgraceful ne'er-do-wells who have brought shame upon our country. If we ignore their wrongs, we ignore the Rule of Law, and that cannot stand.

ALL OF THEM! Including:
  • Diaper Don himself
  • The Don's family
  • Pete Hegseth - there are already movements to impeach. Republicans want it, too. TRUMP is also talking about replacing him. If he leaves before he can be impeached, he needs to be prosecuted. No pardon will save him. He violated international law.
  • RFK Jr.
  • Elon Musk and the DOGE Bros
  • Pam Bondi
  • Todd Blanche
  • Greg Bovino
  • Judge Aileen "Loose" Cannon
  • Kash Patel
  • Countless ICE agents, but especially those who murdered Renee Good and Alex Pretti
....to start.

Some out there are making noises about "no retribution!" It's not retribution. It's accountability. This is serious stuff. We cannot let it go unanswered.

Restoring the Rule of Law also means:
  • Abolishing ICE
  • Closing concentration camps
  • Undoing the wrongs that have been done to so many by ICE, including bringing back people deported to third countries, bringing back people deported to dangerous foreign prisons, releasing all U.S. citizens that have been held – and how about some restitutions for them, too?

Repeal Citizens United
It is the bane of America's modern existence. We dodged a bullet this time, but this shit has to go. Power to the People! The real ones – We the People!

Heathcare
Fix it.

Medicare for All.

DO. IT.

In the meantime, restore the cuts to Medicaid, SNAP, and the Obamacare subsidies. Get funding back for USAID while we're at it.

Codify Roe V. Wade
Women are dying and afraid. Let's make safe abortions available nationwide.

Codify that Presidents can be indicted.
F.U. SCOTUS!

Bring Science Back

Impeach that dingus RFK Jr. Get rid of him and his dangerous and illegal policies that have poisoned and sickened too many Americans. Bring vaccines back.

Restore grants for science research. Sweeten the pot for the researchers to return who have fled to universities in other countries.

Bring back policies that helped foreign students and post-docs do their research in the U.S.

Block 'em
Don't let his stoooopid nominees in. They will do damage. Block his nominees, including SCOTUS noms. Oh, poor widdle Sammy and Clar-clar. I bet they wish they’d retired before today, eh?  We have six years of these new senators, dear ones. Between blocking the next two years and getting a new president and possibly reforming SCOTUS altogether, We the People will have a new Supreme Court before six years are over.

Start the Epstein Trials
Get the records out to the public, unredacted. Start down the road to justice. Put Ghislane Maxwell back in a maximum security lockup. Go after any and all associates who raped girls, and all the people who protected them. And by the way, use the correct language. They raped little girls. Don't sugarcoat those atrocities.

Rep. Thomas Massie (R-Ky.) is leaving office, but he is using these last few weeks to push the matter forward. He will introduce the Epstein Files Transparency Act II next week, and he is confident he has the votes.

End the War with Iran
It was stupid to start it, and it would be stupid to continue it. Congress has war power. Use it.

Please for the love of Earth, work on an environmental agenda
If it's not too late.

Even if the PedoPrez threatens to veto bills, pass them anyway. There may be enough Republicans on board to overcome a veto; if not their votes will be on record. If bills don't pass, keep them in the drawer for our next President.

Through all of it, remember...
Our collective conscience – Red, Blue, and Purple – has been shocked over and over throughout the last two years.

Remember, though: conservatives are still conservative. The voters who voted with us didn't like where their party or the country was headed. Republicans and moderates voted Blue because they were calling out for help. There will be push back on much of our agenda. Respect the push-back. But that being said......

Let's get this progressive party startedddddd.

It's your job and my job and everybody's job to call your new Members of Congress and tell them just what you want them to do. They work for us, and that is truer now than maybe it has ever been. Be a part of the process. Let's pilot this country out of the Bermuda Triangle and back to calm seas.

In the The More Things Change, the More They Stay the Same Files...
The Orange Dingleberry is clinging on to whatever power he thinks he has. He has fired yet another woman (the only people he has fired have been women) in his inner circle. Susie Wiles is out, and Nostephratu Miller is in as Chief of Staff. Just as well. He's been acting like it for years, whispering evil in that well-healed ear and likely working the puppet strings this whole time.

All Trumplethinskin can talk about since the election is what he knows: construction. In the face of the biggest political spanking in modern times, his demented mind can only go to the ballroom and the Reflecting Pool. Oh, and how the Repugs coulda shoulda woulda won, if he had onlyyyyy been on the ballotttt.

Dude. You were on the ballot. This is what the ballot looked like. We chose the puppy.

On the other side of the More Things Change..., dinosaur Sen. Chuck Schumer and out-of-touch Rep. Hakeem Jeffries think they are going waltz in as Leaders of their houses come January. There are already plenty of voices that are saying, nope, uh-uh, the voters voted for change, and change we will!

You can be a voice, too. Call your Members of Congress and tell them that you want different leadership.

Cuz they just keep coming
